Week 4: St. Patrick Cathedral

St. Patrick Cathedral is one of El Paso’s historical landmarks. The construction began in 1914, and Saint Ignatius Loyola was dedicated on Thanksgiving Day in 1917.

Saint Ignatius Loyola founded the Jesuit order, a leading force in modernizing the Roman Catholic Church.

Inspiration: The Saints dedication on Thanksgiving Day. Thanksgiving screams pumpkin pie. For that reason, we are making cazuela.

Cazuela is a traditional Puerto Rican crustless pie served during the holidays. The texture is between a thick custard and bread pudding.
